Artist Statement
At 16, I carved my first pipe, igniting a passion for craftsmanship that has shaped my life and work ever since. By 18, I was selling my own pipes, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my creations with people across the globe—from China to Chile, and even within an hour of my home. These connections have grown into lasting relationships with clients who return time and again, not just for the pipes but for the stories and artistry they represent.
The pipe below is my final tribute piece, created for SmokingPipes as part of their annual Fourth of July Showcase—an event celebrating the best American pipe carvers (their words, not mine). Being invited to participate in such a gathering of talent is a true honor. Each piece I make carries the weight of tradition, the joy of craftsmanship, and the deep gratitude I feel for the community that supports and inspires my work.
